CLARITY

In diamonds, one of the 4Cs used to grade quality. Clarity is affected by
inclusions. Diamonds are graded at 10x magnification and scaled from I, meaning
included, up to F, meaning flawless. Clarity is generally acknowledged to be the
least important of the 4cs, as many inclusions are not visible to the naked eye. A
diamond graded VS1 or higher is known as ‘eye clear’ as the inclusions are rarely
visible, even to a well-trained eye.
