FINISH
One of the aspects considered to grade the cut of a diamond, finish refers to the
quality of the polish and symmetry of a cut diamond. One grade difference in
finish does not affect the overall grade of a diamond – for example, where a
diamond is overall ‘Excellent’, polish and symmetry must be at least Very Good,
because to the natural eye, small differences in finish do not affect the overall
appearance of the diamond.
