FLAWLESS (IF)

The highest level on the clarity grading scale of gemstones. A stone is defined as

flawless when it’s inclusions are not visible according to the scale on which it

ismeasured. For example, diamonds are graded using a loupe at 10x, so termed

flawless where no inclusions are seen at this magnification, whereas emerald

clarity is graded by eye, so termed flawless where it is eye-clear.
